About

Ricky Pascual

I am a Civil Engineer by profession and I started my interest in photography in 2007 when me and my wife joined a mountaineering group. Equipped with only a point and shoot camera, we climbed Mount Maculot (popular among beginners) and my love affair with photography begun.

I enrolled in a photography class to learn basic skills and during our friendly photo contest (before we graduated) among my classmates, one of my photo was selected as one of the top 5 photo in “still life” photography.

It’s still a long way to go before I could say myself a professional photographer though I am earning  from time to time. On this site you will find some of my work. Constructive criticism is highly appreciated through your comments I could learn and do it better the next time.

Shooting landscape is one of my favorite aside from shooting people in their unguarded moments (done in good taste).

I was able to cover a wedding a year ago as an assistant photographer, though very tiring I learned a lot of things. I learned that experience and lessons from it is more important rather than the compensation and to be a good photographer one need a lot of patience and dedication.

For now, I venture myself in different events such as birthdays, baptisms and in different occasions in schools. Hopefully in the near future I could venture on a bigger projects.
